GSA Per Diem Rate Calculator is a lookup and calculation service. By using it you accept these terms.

Rates and calculations, not a reimbursement decision

Results come from rates published by GSA and the Department of State and from the details you provide. They are not an official determination, travel authorization or tax advice. Your agency, contract, grant terms or employer policy decide what is reimbursed; check with your travel office before you rely on a figure.

Coverage

CONUS per diem rates (48 contiguous states and DC) for the fiscal years GSA publishes through its API, DoD non-foreign OCONUS rates (Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam and other US territories) from the Civilian Personnel Per Diem Bulletins in the Federal Register, and foreign per diem rates from the State Department's monthly file. Not covered: IRS high-low substantiation rates, mileage, airfare and the actual expense method beyond the 300% note.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service for automated bulk requests or in a way that harms it or the official sources it queries. We may limit access in case of abuse.

No warranty and liability

The service is provided "as is", without warranty of availability or accuracy. Official rates can change during a year. To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for decisions made on the basis of its results or for indirect losses.

GSA Per Diem API (api.gsa.gov, used with an api.data.gov key and within GSA's published rate limit), the Department of State's Maximum Travel Per Diem Allowances for Foreign Areas, and the DoD non-foreign per diem bulletins from the Federal Register API (www.federalregister.gov). U.S. government works are not subject to copyright (17 U.S.C. 105). The service is not affiliated with or endorsed by GSA, the Department of State or the Department of Defense.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence.
